The MacLean Coaching and Scouting Mentorship Program is designed to help educate and give experience to those looking to break into the field of scouting or those looking to add their skill sets as coaches.
In partnership with MacMann Prestige Consulting, all programs are designed by Ross MacLean and will connect participants with knowledge, experience, data and mentorship from experts from the NHL, CHL, NCAA, Hockey Canada, IIHF, European Pro and Junior Hockey and Hockey Media members.
Our goal is to design challenging and thoughtful programs to help interested coaches and scouts not only get their foot in the door but join existing networks and promote experiences and career path trajectories.
This lesson is an interactive presentation and task designed help you understand how to plan for short term competition, evaluating and inviting players to camps, techniques for evaluating players to fit into a system and further communication tactics with coaching staff.
The lesson can be booked at any time and is often scheduled individually or with small groups

Coaching Education and Mentorship Program - Lesson 3 - Parent/Stakeholder Management and Communication StrategiesOpen
The MacLean Coach Education and Mentorship Program is designed to help provide coaches with learning opportunities and giving them resources to bounce ideas off or learn new challenges to grow their skill set.
In partnership with MacMann Prestige Consulting, all programs are designed by Ross MacLean and will connect participants with knowledge, experience, data and mentorship from experts from the NHL, CHL, NCAA, Hockey Canada, IIHF, European Pro and Junior Hockey and Hockey Media members.
Our goal is to design challenging and thoughtful programs and presentations to help interested coaches and scouts thrive with consistent development and resources they can rely on.
This lesson is an interactive presentation and task designed to help coaches deal with all things related to parents and other major stakeholders on a team. We will cover communication techniques, tactics and tricks to help you overcome some of the more difficult areas around coaching young athletes.

Coach Mentorship - Monthly Membership (4 Sessions per Month)Open
A certified and experienced coach mentor will evaluate your team's game or practice, either in person or by video (video must be provided by the client) and provide feedback and advice to help improve and challenge the coaches techniques with their team. The montly membership offers 4 mentorship sessions (ideally 2 games and 2 practices but not limited to any number of either)
These sessions are not meant to be coach evaluation sessions, rather opportunities for fresh and experienced eyes to team up with to find ways to help the coach, staff and team grow or find new perspectives.
Coach mentorship is a valuable resource that allows coaches to bounce new ideas off someone and work towards optimizing their own skill set with their group of athletes.
Further sessions will have a discounted price of $100 per viewing within a month of original purchase
*In-Person Sessions are currently only available in Southern Alberta

Comparable analysis to the next levels and pathway or player types of your choice will also be provided. A great way to measure your development pathway with 15 years of historical data points from U13 level to Junior, Pro and National Team levels.
This product gives you the option of 3 comparables
For example, compare yourself/or a player of your choice to Cale Makar's development pathway at the same age, compare yourself/or a player of your choice to the average of players in a provincial U16 program, and/or compare yourself/or a player of your choice to any World Junior player and get an idea of where you/they stand, what areas are up to speed and which areas can be improved.
