Restrict/Give Access to a Tenant
If you need to revoke membership privileges for an owner but allow a tenant to use those privileges, follow these instructions:
- Ensure that the tenant is in the property owner’s entourage. Navigate to the owner’s user profile and select the Suspend option.
- Click to suspend the Entourage. If the owner has other family members or residents, their access will be suspended as well.
When you suspend a user, you will be given the following window to fill out. Select the membership(s) you wish to suspend:
The property owner’s membership will now be suspended:
Click the green enable button to re-activate the membership if/when necessary.
Now, navigate to the tenant’s user profile. Their inherited membership will no longer be available. Click Add Membership to assign them a new membership. IMPORTANT: be sure to set the correct expiry date.
If the tenant has any users in their own entourage and the extension is set in their entourage, they will inherit this membership as well. Now, when the property owner attempts to check in, their profile will indicate that they do not have a membership and they are currently suspended. When the tenant attempts to check in, their status will display that they have a membership (same for any users that have inherited the membership from the tenant).
You may also wish to add the tenants to the property details page but this is not necessary.
