Rangeview Raised Planter Bed Program | 2026 Growing Season

The Rangeview Raised Planter Bed Program is launching for the first time and offers residents the opportunity to grow food and flowers in a shared community garden space. This seasonal program is designed to support gardeners of all experience levels while encouraging learning, stewardship, and connection within the neighbourhood.

The total program cost is $105, which includes a $50 program fee, a $50 refundable deposit, and GST. The refundable deposit is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the Community Garden Handbook.

Refundable deposits will be returned by e-transfer only, regardless of the original payment method.

Payment Information
Payment can be made in one of two ways:

  • Credit card payment through the member portal. A 3% service fee will be applied to the total.

  • E-transfer sent to accounting@rangeviewhoa.com.* Please include the program you are registering for and an email contact to send registration forms

The program includes:

  • Rental of one raised planter bed per household for the full growing season

  • Access to shared tools, compost, and soil for seasonal top-ups

  • Support and guidance from the Garden Lead

  • Optional educational workshops offered throughout the season

A limited number of accessible-height beds are available for gardeners with mobility considerations. If you require an accessibility-height bed, please email info@rangeviewhoa.com prior to registration so availability can be confirmed.

The 2026 growing season runs from April 1 to October 31, weather permitting. Registration is open from February 1 to March 27. All participants must attend one mandatory orientation session, which will review program guidelines, bed setup, maintenance expectations, shared resource use, and seasonal timelines. Orientation sessions will be held on:

  • March 28 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm

  • March 31 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm

Attendance at one session is required to participate in the program.

Educational programming is a key part of the Raised Planter Bed Program. Optional workshops and learning opportunities may include:

  • Planting and transplanting

  • Trellising and pruning

  • Organic pest prevention

  • Soil health and fertilization

  • End-of-season bed care and winter preparation

Upon registration, the Community Garden Handbook and other program related documents will be emailed. 

The Raised Planter Bed Program aims to create a welcoming and well-supported garden space where residents can build gardening skills, grow their own food, and contribute to a healthy and vibrant community.

Rangeview Greenhouse Seed-Starting Program | 2026 Growing Season

The Rangeview Greenhouse Seed-Starting Program offers residents the opportunity to get a head start on the growing season by starting plants in the community greenhouse. This seasonal program supports gardeners of all experience levels, from those looking to refine their skills to residents who are new to seed starting and want to learn in a guided, shared environment.

The program fee is $30 per participant + GST, subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the Greenhouse Seed Starting Program Handbook. 

Payment Options:
Payment can be made in one of two ways:

The program includes:

  • Access to the community greenhouse from March through May, during desginated program hours listed below

  • A starter kit with all supplies needed to start 12 plants, including trays, soil, labels, and approved seeds

  • Use of shared greenhouse tools and equipment

  • Oversight, watering support, and guidance from the Greenhouse Grower

The 2026 program runs from March 1 to May 31, weather permitting. Registration is open from February 1 to February 28, with space for a maximum of 20 participants. This program is open to residents of Section 23 Rangeview who are 14 years of age and older.

All participants must attend one mandatory orientation and seed-starting workshop, which will review program guidelines, greenhouse safety, rules of use, and best practices for starting and caring for seedlings. Orientation sessions will be held on:

  • Sunday, March 1 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

  • Wednesday, March 4 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Attendance at one session is required to participate in the program.

Participants may access the greenhouse during the following designated open hours:

  • Sundays: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

  • Wednesdays: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

During open hours, participants are responsible for the ongoing care of their plants, including seeding, fertilizing, up-potting, and pruning. The Greenhouse Grower will provide daily watering support between open hours, oversight to ensure safe and respectful use of the space, and guidance on best practices as needed. All plant material must be removed from the greenhouse by May 31 to allow for seasonal transition.

Seed Selection

A seed selection list will be emailed to all paid registrants. Participants will choose 12 plants from the following RHOA-approved seed list:

  • Jalapeño

  • California Wonder

  • Orange You Sweet

Herbs – Basil

Herbs – Parsley

  • Dark Leaf Italian

  • Forest Green

The Greenhouse Seed-Starting Program is designed to build gardening skills, encourage responsible shared-space use, and help residents start the growing season with confidence and healthy plants.
